If you’re so inclined, we’d love your help promoting this online petition to pressure Goodwill to stop selling bikes and bike parts at the weekly Flea Market.
Michael J. Paul is the CEO/President of Goodwill Industries in Santa Cruz. We are trying to put pressure on Goodwill Industries (who runs and manages the weekly flea market in Live Oak) to stop allowing the sale of bikes and bike parts at the flea market. There’s too much risk involved that the bikes and parts are stolen, there’s no record to track ownership (so the risk of possession of stolen property gets passed on to an innocent (albeit ignorant) bystander, and allowing it to happen just creates a secondary black market which by its very nature is perpetuated and endorsed by Goodwill Industries 3 days a week, every week.
If enough people brought this to their attention, it might result in a change in their exhibitor policy.
